any small 7 pound thrust turbines ready for sale at this time.. the wren seems to only be going to a select few on a waiting list. and no price or other info is mentioned at the web site. and no update info on the simjet 700 either.. guess it's a waiting game.

At Florida Jets 2003 there was a micro turbine ( Micro bee ??) half the size of the Wren 44/SJ 700. I held it in my hand, 3 1/2 pounds of trust this little turbine produces. Really amazing

I'm sure some one took a picture of it as they had an open display of it.

I also was able to see the Simjet 700 for the 1st time, and right beside it was a JHH Hawk ARF, so I was able to put the 700 inside the Hawk to see if the Simjet 700 was a good match for the Hawk.

Robert, on the Artes website there is a size comparison between the bee 50 and the smaller bee you saw. It makes the 50 look like a monster!!! Right now the Artes JF-50 bee motor would be a good choice for a small project. Its only 80mm, very light and is full auto start. Rated at 11-12lbs thrust too. I believe this motor is in the certification process with the AMA??

F900, I think the 'Micro bee' that you are talking about is called the Nano Bee. I'm not sure what you saw though. If it is what you saw, it is made by Artes Jet Microturbines.

THAT SOUNDS GREAT! but hey, do you know when it will be on the market? its freakin 2005 an NADA. im so impatient, you can stick that in like a kyosho f-16 and voila, park flyer turbine. anyway, email me at [email protected] if you find anything. ive search about this mysterious turbine and ive found almost nothing.

??? NADA? Simjet 700 and the Wren 44 have both been available now for many months... contact Simjet or wren and get your order in...

how far back did you have to go to find a 2 year old post??? A lot of what has been written is now history.... You can also check out the ArtesJet site to see what they are doing with the Bee / NanoBee......

Ewald doesn't plan on kitting that little engine, or I should say the lat time I heard anyway. it is a one of a kind! :)

I saw a prototype at JetPower in 2003. (everyone should visit this Jet only trade event in September!)
It wasn't run at the show

I remembered it end of last year and emailed Martin Lambert to see how development had gone, little info came back,but he said that he was finishing tests and motors would be available early in 2005...
I confirmed the order around 2 months ago and sent money...

I thought nearly quarter of a million RPM sounded fun!

My MW44 already runs at 190K RPM, I believed it was huge... a quarter million, man, you beat it all...
It must make a hell lot of noise though !!!
