Considering a jet.
I'm considering buying a cheap jet, I mean dirt cheap, the cheapest you can get for a turbine engine and ARF body. Preferabbly a raptor body. I know about the Buy/Sell button but I'm talking about new.
Anything like that? |
RE: Considering a jet.
Dirt cheap in this hobby is around $5000 for what you are describing, what is your idea of dirt cheap??

RE: Considering a jet.
As I said, the absolute cheapest you can think of.

$5000

RE: Considering a jet.
Read the forums and check out the prices at Dreamworks and Grest Northern Model Products. The question you asked is impossible to answer without more detailed information from you.

RE: Considering a jet.
unless you find one at a distress, or estate sale, 4-5K to get one in the air is about what you are looking at.
Now if you have decent building skills, and are good at kit bashing, there are some alternatives, but they don't fit your "ARF body" constraint. |
RE: Considering a jet.
You can do three major things with a jet project. 1) Have a really good looking jet that builds fast, 2) have jet that operates well consistently, or 3) have a "relatively" inexpensive jet as far as jet prices go. You cannot do all three at the same time. Pick your favorite two and have lots, and lots of fun and stay around for a while.
Another axiom. Buy cheap, and you buy twice. Think about it. Can you afford to go cheap? I can't, my time is too valuable to me. |
