Two Questions
Fellers...
Two questions: On the Baby Boomer, is setting up crow recommended or required? Currently, I do not have crow set up but it was recommended to me by a local jet pilot. I would like to hear BB owners think about this. For you guys that use a "taxi" tank, what are you using for your connection interface between the on-board system and the taxi tank? I assume is it some type of socket and probe type of arrangement. Please post the name and where one might find it. Thanks In Advance... Dave |

I have full flap set at 85 degrees which seems to do the job without crow. Others may feel differently.
I simply hook the feed line on my taxi tank to the vent line coming from the main tank before I start to fill the plane. When the plane is full, the taxi tank will begin to fill. Stop the fill when you have what you think you need in the taxi tank. Everything on the plane is completely full and nothing spills on the ground. My fill line comes from the UAT. |

I used to have a Baby Boomerang and currently fly the Boomerang XL. I have crow set up on the XL and it does help kill the lift, which the XL needs to keep it from floating, but never tried it or heard of it being recomended for the Baby. On the baby the key is getting as close to 90 degrees out of the flap as possible. It's not really a flap as much as a speed brake. Contact Alan at boomerangjets.com, he'll give it to you straight either way. As far as a taxi/overflow tank connection I use a festo bulkhead connection from DreamworksRC.com.

I have tried crow on my XL2, I can not tell the difference.
My taxi tank connects with a 6mm festo quick connect to the vent line, which stays attached to the taxi tank. |
