You might want to reconsider that Bobcat choice. My home field is 300'X 50' paved. I started out flying turbines two seasons ago and put in 40 gals on a Roo and an AMT Mercury, landings speeds were in the 30 mph range and all was fine. Got a BOBCAT XL cause I just could'nt go to my grave without doing a BVM kit. My first flights I do at a full size airport, and boy did that thing move out. Problem is I never even considered the landing speeds of the Bobcat and a small field, just assumed it was as good or better than a roo, Well to date have not been able tame it yet but still trying. I am not a novice as I was only one of a handfull that flew on Fri, SUPERMAN last oct in the high winds. BVM website has landings speeds listed @ 65mph before spoileron trick, after, down in the 50's.......An help on slowing one down you might consider some building mods. The Krammers added flaps, it is a floater but there is no drag. 02

We have a very large field. I'm a Bvm fan having owned 2 F-86s and 2 F-80s. A ducted fan and turbine of each.

I love scale , but they just can't tollerate the grass stips. I don't recomend grass strips for jets, but know the Bob Cat and Bandit do well off of grass. Our field is very well manicured too.

Thanks for the tip on slowing them down.
