About PPG 2060
Hi.
I am going to clear my new A-4 with PPG 2060 and have a few questions. 1. What type of paint is this...need to know so I can use compatible paint under it. 2. I see that you should mist this on each coat waiting about 15-20 min between coats. How long will this stuff stay good in the mixing jar or gun before getting hard? Thanks, Dom |
RE: About PPG 2060
Dom,
Google it. ppg.com/refinishftpsite/docs/p-217.pdf PPG 2060 is called Flexed "N" Flat....compatible with all PPG aand most other urethane enamels. It is pre-flattened and is flexible enough to work on flexible substrates like automobile bumpers and plastic panels. (and jet parts). You can alter the gloss by adjusting the amount and type of hardener. The bulliten I referenced will be very helpful. Harley Condra BVM REP JetCat REP |
RE: About PPG 2060
I just shot this stuff this morning. Pay attention to the mixing ratios. As you will see, going from mild gloss to flat is very sensitive. Accurately measure the amount of gloss clear you add, (about a 5% ratio, depending on your goal) to the 2060. If you are like me, and don't shoot clear all at once, write your ratios down so you can match them for the next application. [8D]
