OK........I am the ultimate dork b/c I started this and now I can't even be there on Saturday. ;) Oh well, I am going down tomorrow to fly the boomer with a turned-down falcon and I promise not to leave any smoking holes for you guys to discover Saturday morning. I plan on going back on Sunday and I better not see any smoking holes either! :D

Great day for flying. 13 pilots showed up from Austin and Dallas. For those that have been to the Waco field, if you remember the tree line that is straight out from the pilot stations, well that is where the lake level is now. So much rain. The park that is south of the runway is completely under water.

I got 8 in. :D Had to completely relearn how to slow it down with that new turbine - the residual is just a lot of blow! But yeah, it was fun............I got a late start and so I skipped dinner with everyone else and flew until dark. I am still going back tomorrow - I am going to leave DFW about 11 if anyone else is thinking about going. That low rpm accel on the Falcon just sounds weird - I am going to have to get some more opinions about that - doesn't seem to effect the performance.........yet! Anyways..........you guys might have seen the other thread about Artes motors coming with the 5200 Li-ion - what a pleasant surprise - today's 8 flights barely phased it - I could have gotton 4-6 more before recharging - just simply amazing! One other thing - I think that with the new turbine there is too much "up thrust" so I am going to start adding some washers every flight tomorrow. Anyone else had this problem??

James I left you my number the other night, gimme a call if you want and we can talk about the motor.
Mine also makes some odd noises sometimes, but so far its only been noise
