Making Servo Extensions

Any of you have any opinions as to who makes the best pins and connectors for making your own extensions?

I have used Hansen's, but am not overwhelmed by the quality of the pins and the male pin covers are too short. I use Ashlocks where there are multiple connections, such as wing to fuse connections, but am looking for high quality hardware for the usual single servo hookup.

Good luck with these. They have lock built into connectors.

Keith, I'm with Ashtek, have used their servo pins and plugs to make many extension leads and no problems to date, just use a good high quality servo cable, the more copper strands the better the crimp strength.

Are the Ashtek ends compatible with JR? Asked differently, could I plug a JR servo into an Ashtek, or plug an Ashtek into a JR receiver?

Ashtek has std JR compatible connectors, as shown in Marc S Mig15 photo. I don't know if Ashtek's lockable connectors are compatible or not, I don't think so. It would be a waste of money anyway, since the lockable are more expensive and they wouldn't lock with the JR connector. They have "clips" for locking std connectors together.

I've bought both types, used them as needed. Todd stocks them.

EMS has a nice pin, but their crimp tool is not the greatest, I wish I could find a better one.
