Comp ARF Lightning owners, input needed
Hi Guys, It looks like I am going to screw up and finish Planezilla 3 hours ahead of the deadline. I have a concern about heat build up around the aft end of the fuse as there is no ventilation. Have any of you had any issues with heat or are you flying it stock? I might put the vents in the bottom since I have a whole 3 hours extra. I know on the Flash that some of the guys are leaving the bottom bypass off, but it is a much smaller space volume wise. Thanks, Scott

RE: Comp ARF Lightning owners, input needed
We have a Merlin Powered and P200 powered here in Austin. Neither have heat issues at all.

I have about 200 flights between two different aircraft and have never had an issue. Rhino powered. I have used both the stock and the Tams pipes. If you are using stock, make sure to aeropoxy the bolts .... they will want to come loose.

Thanks Guys- (especially Sean-YOU are a lifesaver). Keith, do you mean the bolts that hold the inner pipe to the outer-right? Thanks. Scott

I put in vents and screen like the Lightning manual suggests. I running a Titan and Tam's oirginal pipe - my aft fuse gets pretty warm, but you can still touch it.

Guys
I have a JetCat P160 and added the vents after about 50 flights when we had a hot summer last year...I think it is worth doing regards Dave Wilshere |

Dave. A hot summer in the UK, does that mean it broke 70F?
