Nalgene bottles

I need some 4 and 8 ounce Nalgene bottles (similar to those used for UATs) . Nalgene dont ship overseas and Reid outdoor don't list them. Anyone know a supplier who will ship overseas?

Regards,

David Gladwin.

Just to let you know that Nalgene does not want their bottels used as model airplane fuel tanks.
I tried to buy from a Nalgene distrutor a few years ago and was asked to leave when they asked what I was going to use them on.
There are some industral suppliers that don,t care what you are using them for.
I will get the names later.

So what? Automobiles are meant to be driven. A car dealership doesn't ask you to leave if you told them you were going to purchase the car and put it in storage and never drive it.

I'd say any company that asks you to leave their business because you were considering using a water bottle for a fuel bottle is a company that should be out of business. They could explain to you why you should not use it for a fuel tank but asking a customer to leave is very bad business.

David - if you still haven't found a supplier who will ship to you, let me know how many of each size you need, and what your snail-mail address is. I can pick 'em up for you and ship them off to Oz for ya.

problem is that in the land of lawsuits if i would suggest that you can put kerosine inside a nalgene waterbottle.
some idiot will put kerosine in and drink it , and sue the guy who said that it was possible......[X(]

Oh I understand that. What I am saying is for a business to ask a customer to leave thier place of business because they didn't like the answer to their question is very bad business.

I can understand their not wanting to open themselves up to a legal situation but that is where some discussion on their part is in order.

Or, as a good business person they could explore the need and perhaps make fuel bottles for their customers.

i think the biggest issue is the ordering itself...
why spend lots of time one small item?.
if i order from nalgene all orders are 500+ or you get NO discounts (industry discounts).

I just love the way this is 'accepted' more than someone asking you to leave their premises :D. Oh for the return of the days where some idiot puts kerosene in a water bottle and drinks it and is simply called "an idiot" and that's the and end of it! :)

But the Nalgene bottles are normally not merketed just for water, but for storage of all sorts of chemicals.

We use them at work for supplying chemicals the production people put into the resin we make our parts out of.

Oh, we get them from McMaster Carr.............

Many many thanks guys, particularly your kind offer Gordon.

Although like so many others I use these bottles for UATs etc but this application is for hydraulic header tanks s and as the air volume, and pressure, will change as a function of ram position, I need the inherent strength of the Nalgen bottles. Since the tank will be fixed in my Mig 29 and Hawks its unlikely the contents will be drunk. !

Agian, many many thanks.

David Gladwin.

David,
What if one of those New Zealand guys comes over and gets it out of your jet and drinks it? From what I have heard, you can't put anything past THOSE guys! hehehehhe.....
