RE: FLy Eagle Jet Models
Hi Joe/md i have no prob,s with my choice of servo for the ailerons we are talking fine movements here not 90 degres like 3d models, you will also find that you need long servo arms for the ailerons to get over the bump in the aileron cover normal size is not long enough, also metal arms for the 8411s on elevater as with standard arms there is a lot of blow back 1" each way on mine metal arms they are soild regards Keith ps i will post a video on my next flight when the weather is good

RE: FLy Eagle Jet Models
Mike,
I told you I would use a P-120 for my F-15. Reading all these posts, make me wonder if I could get away with a little smaller engine, like a P-80. What are your or anybody thoughts on this/ Thanks, Allen |

ORIGINAL: Phantoman Mike, I told you I would use a P-120 for my F-15. Reading all these posts, make me wonder if I could get away with a little smaller engine, like a P-80. What are your or anybody thoughts on this/ Thanks, Allen with the bifurcated exhaust a P-80 would be struggling on the F-15s 20+ lb airframe |
RE: FLy Eagle Jet Models
Hi Allen,
We are using P80 for the F-16 not the F-15. You can't go wrong with a P120 on the 1/9.5 scale F15. Try the P120 SE. You will have less learning curve on throttle management. sorry to confuse you. Mike |

Hi Guys,
There are many interests for the tanks. I would have hard time to keep track of these requests, so I made a Selling post on RCU for the tank. If you are interested, please go in their and send in your offer. http://www.rcuniverse.com/market/item.cfm?itemID=361031 Mike |
RE: FLy Eagle Jet Models
Mike,
I realize you are using a P-80 on an F-16. Can I use a P-80 on an F-15? Sorry I wasn't clearer. Allen |
RE: FLy Eagle Jet Models

Allen
I’ve yet to fly my turbine—making that clear up front—but I’ve been flying for years to include DF, and I’m around turbine pilots all the time. Anyways, my F-15 is from Yellow Aircraft, fly weight around 30lbs—a P80 will fly it—forget about vertical authority but straight and level, she’ll fly. YA recommends a P120 or so; I chose a SimJet Nexus—fastest 36-pounder spool up time out there. I want to go straight up and out of sight. Mike I’m this close to buying YA’s F-22—the only drawback is it’s not painted. No big deal to you folks who have those skills, the time, and a place to do it. For me, I ain’t got time even if I had time—you know what I’m sayin’? Anyways, I’m “this” close still to taking it. It takes a P180—I gotta have it [sm=48_48.gif] |
RE: FLy Eagle Jet Models
Mr. DJ,
Thanks for the info. Straight and level is good. I will worry about vertical authority later. Thanks, Allen |
RE: FLy Eagle Jet Models
Allen, I still recommend you get a P120 or larger. You need the extra take off power to get you out of trouble. P80 won't give you that extra edge. You can always turn the power down first. You will also have more choices of airframes later.
