Hit the nail right on the head!
I think the service level from EagleJets is outstanding! probably the best response times I have had.
Coupled with what looks to be an impressive quality product at a sensible price I think they have just set a new benchmark in this hobby.

Hey guys check out the Florida Jets Thread.

Jet Central has a new engine available in June called,"The Rabbit" with 19 Lbs of thrust.
This engine would be perfect for the F-16.

It has an internal ceramic element, no Glow Plug and a lifetime warranty.

The Falcon is priced at 2795.00 and the Bee priced @2495 maybe the Rabbit will hop it at 2695.00.

The US office is maybe 45 miles from my residence :) The manager: Chen—nice guy.

The F-18 will use 13 servos total. It will accept a P-180 but may use the 160 or equivalent. I'm told their maiden flight will be later this month. No price yet, but I’m sure it will be reasonable just like the rest.

Hi Guys,

Just got my F15 and F16 - very happy with it. looks great.
A questions about the f15:
Are you satisfied with the way the rudder is attached? looks a little weak..
Can someone post pics of his rudder attachment that strong enough?

Apreciate the effort.

Thanks,
Ziv

In other words: what holds the rudder in place assembly into the fuse?

Thanks,

Is that box in the first photo similar to a Powerbox or Smartfly?

it's an emcotes DPSI mini 5.
Emcotec is a popular brand of DPSI in EU, similar than power box. I prefere emcotec, lipo ready, price...etc

Anyone hear how TBM's flew at Florida Jets with the Falcon in it. I am very curious how it flies with that motor, and for how long. Looking at the website, they were flying it on a P-80, so a Falcon should work, but be a little heavier than a Wren ss or P-70.

Hi Guys,

This is for the F-16 owners. Word of caution:@@@@@ make sure you put a least a 1/4" spacer behind the maintanks where they contact the frame. You ask why???? oh, just take a look at the holes for the back cover latch pin....oh boy hate to think what happens if a hole is punched in the tank......

LookiLook,

What exactly are you looking for? let me know and I will try to talk you through it. the plumbing is really not that bad, there are a lot of photos on Eagle jets website and if you need anything specific, I will take them for you.

Regards,
Mike

Hi Jeremy

It has been great fun making the Rafale with the minimum of pictures and instructions! I am nearing the end of mine now. I think that this part must be screwed to the former that holds the tank. It will pin the tank down onto the recess and form a bridge over the top of the tank. It will leave a flat area perhaps for the pump or the LED I/O board.

If you have not tried yet have a go at fitting the nose leg steering. It is super neat, but I couldn't find a way of fitting the ball links. My fingers must be too fat and not long enough! In the end I gave up and made up links from wire with swivel locking screws. This at least gives an easily adjustable link that can be assembled and locked from above.

I was wondering when the first posts on fitting out the Rafale would appear. I am very pleased with the kit, the quality is as good as I have seen from any maker. I have not deviated much from the supplied parts. I have tested all the rams and U/C legs and did find a very small leak in 2 of the rams. I will try and remedy with silcone oil/grease. I will post a note when it is finished with the completed weight.

John

Hi John,
Could you take some pics for me of your install in your Rafale? I'm trying to figure out the best location for the air valves, servo's etc. There is no mount for the canard servo in the kit so what did you do to mount yours? I've got all my door cylinders in place and hooked up, retracts plumbed, all that fun stuff, so next I need to start hooking it all up. Some pictures if possible would be great :)

Hi Guys,

I will report these problems to fly eagles. They seem to do too many things at the same time and not figure out all the integration issues.

Hi Jeremy

I will take some pictures later today and post them. You are right there was no mount for the elevator servo. I made up 2 aluminium L shaped brackets, bolted them to the servos and it screws to the supplied rear plate. I also made sure that the push rod is very short and stiff with strong clevises. I thought that this servo needs to be a decent torque and I have gone for the new Futaba 451 brushless servos for the elevons and the elevator.

I have mounted the Rx and elevator servo on the rear install plate and the ECU and I/O board on the rear of the front one and the valves and fillers right at the front. I did some trial balancing and it looks like I will be able to balance without lead by putting the ecu and rx batteries up in the nose. My trial weight was 14.5 lbs, but this was not with everything in place.

I should finish the installation today if the retract valve and sequencer arrives.

I did not use the supplied air pipe as I thought it was rather stiff. I used normal Robart air lines. I had fun getting the lines off the nipples as the factory had super glued them onto the nipples. I managed to run the lines up into the wing roots and they are almost completely hidden. For once I have a reasonably neat installation. This is the frst time I have used a JetCat and it does have a bulkier and heavier installation than I am used to, however it has fitted in ok.

Hi Guys,

Here are some photos of the missiles kits for the 1/8 scale F16 that my builders made. Please go to RCU market place for any price info etc. We are not suppose to discuss that in this forum. I am going to mount them on my JL F18, F-16 and FEJ F-16 as a scratch guard, so I make the fins removables for repair.

welcome any suggestions.
