Orbit controller autostart system

Has any one had problems with the orbit autostart system?I get a propane failure to ignite. The propane only stands on for one second, not long enough for it to ignite. If it stayed on for 3 seconds or so it will ignite (have done manually with the gasvalve bypassing the electronic part). Is there any way to adjust the time for the valve-opening before it gives a startfailure? All and any help would be appreciated.

Thanks

a few hints:

#you have to pull out the thin wire of the glow plug 3mm
#the wire has to light yellow-red (otherwise new setup with 0.1V higher glow voltage)
#enough pressure in the propan bottle?

maybe a new setup with rpmS 1000rpm less than now will help.

threre have been some changes made in the software, so it depends on what version you have?
since version 2.0 there are more parameters adjustable, but i do believe not the time of valve-opening (this is not the matter of no ignition)

The more I check it I think there is something wrong with the controller. When I said I bypassed the propane I also by passed the glow.It turns out now that the glow comes on for only a fraction of a second, not long enough to even light up any color let alone light the propane and yet when I set up the parameters it stays on and glows fine

The autostart version of the controller has been out for almost a year yet it's still not shown on the Orbit website. I have the first version that I will use with my MW54 whenever I get it built. What are the software changes ? I wonder if I should send it in for an upgrade ?

I am running a homebuilt KJ66 (modified)The control unit when it works is nice,I have seen one that works and all you have to do is flip a switch on your remote, move your throttle stick to full and back and away it goes.In a few seconds she is ready to fly.you can set it up with electric start (my version )or with a couple of festo valves can be used with air start.

a lot of improvements have been made on the autostart version.
# wider security windows to decrease the chance of a flameout
# adjustable quantity of gasflow during autostart
# changes in the running sequenz of the electric starter motor

this changes are for versions 1.7 and later

Good News !!!!
I had a friend come over with his orbit controller and tried it out and had the same problem.Eliminating that something was wrong with the controller. After several attempts to start we noticed that the thermalcouple would shoot to 1000 degrees or so.Then the quarter fell. When installing the system I was lazy and tried to use my thermalcouple form minihobby, thinking what difference could that make (it ran fine then). So to make a longer story shorter ,I replaced the thermalcouple with the one sent with the orbit ecu and wala!!!!! IGNITION YES!!!!!!!!!Thanks for everyones input ,now to send another e-mail to orbit to let them know what the problem was.
