Does anyone know what this is...
 

I was double checking my new metal arm setup on my euro tonight and noticed an abnormal jitter when I was making sure there was no binding. I could duplicate this jitter everytime I would go full right and down on my 10X. I would do this by going full right and down and then the slightest movement away from that position would trigger it. It would get more violent the longer I did it so I stopped and decided that I'd see if anyone else had this problem before and how to fix it. It would NOT do this at any other position on the stick. hmm, this might be the case, but I'm using spektrum 2.4. Can this happen with this technology as well?

Interesting. I went and checked to see if the range theory had any effect and it didnt... I stepped away a resonable 10 feet from the jet and it still did it at the same position. So I tried to give it full left and right rudder then holding the offending position and it didnt do it until I let the rudder travel back to neutral. Isnt that weird... Power problem perhaps? I have two lion batteries hooked up to a superreg distributing 5.7 volts to the servos. I'll double check that tomorrow. One thing of note: I only have that one aileron hooked up, I wonder if it will do it when there are 2 ailerons hooked up (another thing for tomorrow). Just baffles me that it will only do it in that one position.

Try it outside (weather permitting) away from all the EMF noise inside your shop......

I just saw something similar while helping a friend setup a new model.

In his case he had a flaperon mix and the flaps still active and it over drove the servo and caused the "jitter".

Once the flap function was turned off all was normal again.

It could be this known problem with the Spektrum 10X module:

Attention Spektrum module owners, When using the Spektrum JR module in JR10X transmitters, under specific conditions it’s possible that unintended servo outputs can occur.

All of the following conditions are necessary to produce this issue:
JR10X transmitter (all other JR 10 channel radios are immune)
Spektrum AR9000 or JR921 receivers (all other RXs are immune)
At least one non-digital servo is attached to the receiver.
The programmed travel adjust/ sub trim or P mix must drive at least one of the servos past its end point.
If all of the above conditions are met it’s possible that an un-commanded servo out can occur.
Spektrum engineers have solved the issue through a modules programming change. All future Spektrum modules shipped from Horizon will have the new programming installed. If you have experienced this issue or are concerned about this programming you may send your module in and we will reprogram it at no charge.

Belluomini, I'll give that flap deal a try...

Malcolm, I'm currently using a 7 ch rx on the euro so I dont meet those conditions. I took it outside today away from my shop but no change.
