Here's what I have accomplished so far. I decided to modify the LEX and show the air intake bypass exit ducts in their closed position. I can't seem to find a picture anywhere that shows them open and it seemed like a easy mod to do. I used my Dremel with a cut off wheel and sawed the protruding duct off, cleaned up the opening a bit and made a backer out of 1/64" ply. The backer was ca'd in with glass cloth epoxied over the back to reinforce it. Then I made another 1/64" thick ply patch that fit into the opening and epoxied that in place. A little sanding, a bit of putty and primed. I think it turned out nice. I've made one of the strakes and taped it in place for the picture. Now I just have to duplicate this on the port side.

Just an update on some progress. Both are made and position set on the fuse. They will be painted seperate and installed when final finishing of the jet. I think it really adds to the finished look.

I got to do a little bit of paintwork yesterday on the strakes. I also included some pictures of the paint stencils I'll be using for all the graphics.
