sequencer question?
My new project will have an operating canopy which I will do with servos rather than air. One servo for operation and two servos to lock.
I'd like to use one channel with a sequencer, but I want the servo that opens the canopy to move slowly. Any ideas? Thanks, Joe |
RE: sequencer question?
Not sure I understand exactly what you are trying to do...
Do you want the lock servos to operate quickly, and the opening servo to operate slowly ? How about one of the electronic gear door sequencers combined with servos such as http://www.horizonhobby.com/Products...rodID=KOP30034 ? The sequencer would control the order of lock-then-open / close-then-lock, and the servo-local programable speed could be used to slow the operation of the opening & closing ? (I'm not sure HOW slow you can program the servo, but since it's a JR item I'm sure you can get the skinny on it ;-) Gordon |
RE: sequencer question?
Hello, look to the sequencer from Orbit, may be solve your problem

RE: sequencer question?
Joe,
Why don't you just tell us the project? :D Inquiring minds want to know.... |
RE: sequencer question?
Joe,
Henry has done lots of canopy"s, give him a call. Joe C!! |
RE: sequencer question?
My guess..... One of those Skunkworks F117.....

Wait till you see what is going under that canopy.

RE: sequencer question?
If your sequencer does not support servo speed setting, most, if not all of the HiTec Digital servos can have the speed programed to whatever you want by using the HiTec programmer.

RE: sequencer question?
The orbit unit or the Jet-tronics sequencer will do the trick, but you will need a separate servo slow unit for the canopy servo. On the Orbit you can set it up with end switches.
Another one that might do it all alone is the EMS Jomar sequencer. The website has little info, but you can adjust retract speed with it. http://www.emsjomar.com/SearchResult.aspx?CategoryID=6 Lars |

RE: sequencer question?
Joe, FYI, the boys at Weatronics can probably help you out as well, it is my understanding that they are doing some software programs on there 20 channel assignments to basically do anything you want!

RE: sequencer question?
Hey Joe - here's a couple simple "servo slow" devices you can use on the output of a sequencer to get the action you need:

Wow guys thanks for answers! I'll probably go with the Jomar sequencer and servo "slower downer". I've had a Jomar sequencer in my hornet for 8 years and it hasn't missed a beat!
Oh and regarding that "secret" project...I'll give you a hint: |
RE: sequencer question?
Hey Joe,
The sequencer I have on the F4 is JMP. here is the link. 4 programmable sequence cycles. http://www.jetmodelproducts.com/landing.htm So far its been working well in the f4...on the ground that is...lol. will find out in the air..lol Jason |
