What turbine would you use in this aircraft? I don't want to lack in power, My roo just killed my Ram 1000 and I plan to swap the engine from my roo to the F-4 when it's ready so I need an engine that will go either way.

The Jet Cat P-120 will do a fine job for you if you are flying it clean. I currently have two BVM Phantom's on the board and will be putting P-160's in them when they are complete. Both aircraft will be fitted with the wing tanks and missiles, as well as mine carrying 6 500 pounders on the inboard pylons, so the drag is up. Hence the reason for the larger motor.

more power Scotty...

or you could run a Pegasus/280 in the thing and fly it clean or fully loaded. couldn't resist Big John (Vio-Chevy vs Dyno Ford, those were the dayz eh?).

The Roo on the other hand would have vertical up the wazoo!!!

I've got your flag but the certificate is still with the boyz across the pond.

So I need a P160 :)

I would like the option to load it up.

Flag? what flag?

Yea Buck, the Pegasus will go in there as well. The only issue with installing the pegasus is it's size. The bypass is considerably larger than the one for the Jet Cat. After talking with Ad Clark on installing his Pegasus it took some work. No problem at all, just a little more work than the Jet Cat bypass. The main thing is to ensure the 5 dgeree's of down thrust on the bypass and tailpipe.

Also Buck, sent you a pm.

No problem

I thought you were giving me a flag, is this a flag that is flown in the Predator?

I currently have a P-120 installed in mine and it is more than adequate power for the F-4. I can't tell a difference with the wing tanks on it. I also have 6 MK82's to hang under the wings but have yet to fly with them. I do have a P-160 for mine as well but have been having far too much fun with it on another airplane. There really is no such thing as too much power with the F-4. With everything down and dirty it's a pig!

I have a P-120 in mine and it flies great with the wing tanks and the 600 gal. belly tank. However, if I were buying a new engine for it today, no question, it would be a P160. It fits the same bypass as the Ram 1000/P120, and the Phantom is spectacular with the P-160.

P-120 or 160 If you can get one

I have a P-120 in mine and she's a winner with wing tanks and Belly tank really doesnt make a diff.

I'm planning to drop a P-160 in her so I can get the vertical performance that I want.

Regards and good Luck ............ Johnny Hernandez
