Spektrum/matchbox/Isolator

1 Attachment(s)
HI all, I think I have come across with a problem with my new setup for my Kingcat
I have flown the Kingcat for several years with 2 JR 940 receivers with no problems.
I have the IC4 isolator and 72meg. on other planes and works OK.
This year, I am setting up the Kingcat with Spektrum.
Since I do not have the AR9100 yet, I installed a new IC4 isolator with a Spectrum 9100 and 2 JR matchboxs.
The problem I am having with this setup is the matchbox red light will start to flash repeatedly after every thing is setup but every thing works .When I take the Isolator out of the setup, all is OK, the matchbox has a steady red light.
Question, is the IC4 isolator not compatible with 2.4
What does the steady red light flashing mean.

HI,just after setting up the matchboxs, both LEDS where flashing red, so I plugged them directly into the 9000 and they where a content red, like they should be. After reading your post, I went back to the kingcat and plugged them back into the IC4 isolator and they are a constent red and all the controls work great, very low draw on the servos , I might add also.
Maybe setting the match boxs up, made them flash ?

Pete, do a rebind when you are done with your setup just to make sure it does not do it again. I had a similar issue and a rebind solved the problem. It has not done it since then.

HI, seems you can run into problems if you disconnect the receiver from the battery and then hook it back up, with out turning the transmitter off, the receiver goes into a slow blinking mode.
So when you turn off the receiver, you must turn off the transmitter.
Does that sound right.

PS, Thanks for the info Rob.

Yes it does. The new "Quick Connect" feature.

HI, what stumped me was that the matchboxs also started to slow blink.
Thanks Rcpete
