When do I need baffles in the tank?

I have begun building the Jurassic sport jet, and although I suspect it is supposed to use a plastic bottle for tank, I would like to mold my own. To get the fuel closest possible to CoG, I plan
to make a tank that is basically square, 6.3 inches all directions.
It will have to be cut down with a roof shape to fit the fuse, and finished volume should be appr. 3 liters.
Do I need baffles in the tank, or can someone give me some examples when baffling becomes required?

What useful flight time will 3 liters give me on a Jg100/TJT type engine?

When do I need baffles in the tank?

Based on my own jets and others I've seen I'd say you won't need baffles in a 6" tank on the CG. The few times I've seen them is in wing/drop tanks that are very long and narrow. One test would be to fill the tanks half full and hang the jet on the CG to see if sloshing causes a huge shift.
