JetCat P80 JR8103 setup ???

I have a P-80 4.0 ECU and a JR 8103 radio Jetcat manual call for 3 position switch on TX .
My JR 8103 does not have this, would it be possible to use the rotary ( detented) knob on aux3 ??
Or would the ECU get lost when in actual operation as I turn the AUX 3 knob from off-to-Start-stby-to-Auto shutdown?
just how close would the "learned signal" in ECU setup to actual recieved signal must i be???
I care not to have an erroneous auto shut down or off signal while in flight

JetCat Setup

When I used to use the Throttle/Aux two lead setup, I routinely used the rotary Aux 4 on the 10X. No chance of bumping it and shutting down unexpectedly.

Full CCW=shutdown without cooldown

Center(12:00 o'clock)=run

Full CW=shutdown with cooldown.

Just follow the Learn R/C menu.

Tom has it!

I do the same thing with the right slider on the 9ZAPS

rotary knob

Why not just run it single channel without the 3 position switch?

8103

Ummm. my 8103 has the elev-center-land switch on the upper left side. Won't this work?

Use single the channel option, the throttle trim is the kill switch when you move it down to the low idle position.

It works

To answer your question, yes you can use the rotary for the 3 position switch. I have the same setup and it works fine. Set it up at 12 oclock 3 oclock and 6 oclock positions.
