Tuning a TOPGun pipe

What is the procedure for tuning...Do I cut the header to adjust the length or just slide the header into the pipe?
Thanks, Marco.

Call the engine manufacturer and get the tuning length for the specific engine you are running. Move the pipe on the header until the distance from the glow plug to the widest point in the pipe is the "tuning length" from the glow plug. Secure in place as recommended, normally with high temp silicon tubing and clamps. There shouldn't be any need to cut the pipe.

If you are talking about the TGA Byroblaster pipe, I have always just set the length and clamped it there. The total length on my F-15 right now is 18 5/16" from glow plug to the very end of the "nipple" on the end of the pipe.

The TGA pipes for Dynamax and Ramtec are preset at the factory.

Hey Easy. I got a good laugh out of that one. I told you I would have bought yours but you wouldnt seperate the package.
You were not kidding when you said I would need two feet of room up front to fit this pipe. It looks more like a Louisville Slugger than it does a tuned pipe.
Anyway to the above posts. The instructions indicate 11-3/4 from the header flange to the taper on the pipe.
Since there is appoximatly an inch or two from the header flange to the glow plug it sounds to me that the 18 plus inches that you are running is far too much.
Anyone that has this setup please chime in.
Thanks, Marco.

My mistake Terry. I read you reply again. Sounds like you are right on the money.

Heh. The TG pipe works well, I just like the Weston better. Listen to what Terry says, I beleive he is a TGA rep and ought to know what he is talking about.
Sorry I could not break up the package. In the end, I probably should have, as I only got $330 for a package I paid out some $800 for. Oh, well. A deal's a deal, and I'm at least glad the guy who got it got a good deal.
You won't have any problems with the TG pipe, it's a good product.
