Francises mom had a stroke about 2 months ago and has been going down hill ever since. He called me Sunday from the Detroit airport on his way home. He was expecting to be home about 12:00 pm and that was the best flight he could get. He said that his mother had a notebook that she could write down messages on and was trying to write Francis on it numerous times on Saturday. Monday morning he was together with his family and his mom passed away with all of them present. I found this very touching and I think his mom was waiting to say goodbye.:( She nows soars in the heavens with Francises dad Roger. Keep your chin up buddy as I'm sure Roger is happy to see her again. Safe travels and we'll see you soon buddy. Spiderman is keeping you in his thoughts and prayers.

I spoke with Tim Sunday, sounds as though Francis will not be in attendance at this years Spiderman. Let's all keep Francis and his family in our thoughts and prayers during this difficult time.
Now, knowing Francis...he would want us to carry on in our usual ways at Spidy..... See you all there Thursday...........I'm makin' ribs Thursday eve...........any takers?? BTW...the forecast looks wonderful........... cheers, |

Oh yeah....... Got the camper loaded and ready to go. Just a short overnight trip to get out of the way and we'll be headed to Spidy man on wednesday night! Definitely looking forward to another great weekend at the Mac. The weather forecast looks absolutely incredible. Looks like sun and high 70's to low 80's every day with light winds. Let's just hope the wx man knows what he's talkin about. Hope everybody drives safe and we'll see you this weekend!!!!

Goose had dinner here and Sherry and Shaun stayed at field. She just had dental surgery and was not up to eating. So some have arrived and getting things set up. There are more to arrive and I will keepo you posted!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

The ribs were GREAT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!I am so serious!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!You all better head up here!!!!!If you miss this your are nuts. Came back from Spiderman last night. Just wanted to say JOB WELL DONE to Tim and the Winamac club for their hospitality. The event was GREAT and the Wx was perfect and you can fly anytime you want.
The after hours social event at the hanger …. priceless. Also a big THANKS goes out to RB for feeding us for 3 days. Here are few pics I took. Unfortunately I did not take that many pictures as I was busy socializing and doing some T’s & G’s |

Ben Burden Jr. with his new p-80 powered Roo. Ben Jr. got few flights on it on buddy cord with his dad and the Kid is Gooooooooooooooood!!!!. Watch out Sr. because Jr. is on the loose.
