CROSS WINDS

I quite often fly in crosswinds . What is the best/worse landing jet in a crosswind ? Just curious .

In a crosswind my Reaper will flip over and swap end for end .I have fixed gear on my Reaper .Ihave noticed that some Reapers are built with inboard elevons .In effect the whole trailing edge is elevons . Does this help with the slow speed control ?

The F-16's I have are horrible in a crosswind. My F-18 does not like it either. I'm pretty comfortable to about 15 MPH Direct then I have to start working hard. I flew my F-18 in a 25 MPH Direct crosswind twice and looked like this after I landed it[sm=bananahead.gif]

Baby Boomer handles cross wind well. Bob

RE: CROSS WINDS

With a boomer, 15mph is not a cross wind, its a headwind because you can land on the width of the runway and still get stopped. :D

Comp ARF Flash...wide gear, solid as a rock in a cross wind

Our ELAN is PERFECT, we made 100 landings with very strong lateral winds, but, it did not change the attitude, you do not have to make lateral corrections in the end, because the speed is low and the wind can hurl the airplane laterally.

hope helps

BVM Bobcat original version is very easy to handle in Xwinds. I agree with Harley.
