RE: Buttonwillow CA
Make sure you get as much flap as you can out of it and add in crow, this will help in slowing it done. It tooks Dave and I about 5-6 flights to get the plane dialed to the point where he was feeling solid on final. Yes, they do like to fly. You'll love the plane, flys like a pattern ship!!

RE: Buttonwillow CA
Yes the MB-339 is a floater, but comes in and touches down really slow. As Gordon mentioned, I test flew it off an 800ft runway and really only used half to three quarters of it on landing. The weekend following I flew it at Fresno Jets, great field not so good run off, and never had to use anything other then the supplied runway. I mixed in a little crow with the full flap deflection and the speedbrake, and it was a dream to land.. You are always welcome to join us at the Willow, but don't get all worked up about this plane.....she's a beauty. Jason Somes is also flying one and has the same thing to say about it, I'm sure you will love it too.
Sorry that we seem so "COMPLICATED" to you, we are just here to help. Let me know if/when you plan to come out, I will make sure someone is there to get you signed up to the club and get you OK'd to fly jets there. Dave |
RE: Buttonwillow CA
Thanks Dave...
Not complicated at all, I was just assuming that it was more of a open use area. Nonetheless, I am a little bit off before the maiden. If it is all the same to you I will contact you when the time comes. Also, Jason is a friend...didi not know he had a 339...will have to give him some crap over that! Thanks everybody! |
