I have a Byron F86F which is currently under restauration. Do you provide documentation during your conversion work? I will fly mine as a ducted fan for a while, and then(when the cash is available) I will convert,so I am very interested in your work!
The photo shows my Sabre with the paint partly stripped of. I have cut out the speed brake door. I will cover the plane in alufoil. |

I am willing to provide an account of what modifications I have done. Your plane by the way looks like it should turn out nicely. My father used to fly a Byron f86 with a Rossi 86 (I think) and it flew beautifully. Speak soon Slow-jo |

Is it a -F or a -K you are doing? Have you converted to flaps and speedbrakes? What undercarriage are you going to use? As you see on the photo my gear (SpringAir) looks like crap. A Sabre should sit on some heavy gear! I don't know how I can make it better yet. |

"Is it a -F or a -K you are doing?" Not sure what you mean by this, except to say that is identical to the plane that you are fixing up. By the way, will you be able to help with the tail section dimentions ? Have you converted to flaps and speedbrakes? We have converted to flaps and then brakes on the wheels. Can help with these dimensions if you need. What undercarriage are you going to use? There is a firm in South Africa (I think they do overseas orders) who's retracts will be used(Model Mechanics). Look at their internet site: www.modelmechanics.com, it might help with your problem. Thanks for the correspondence It's appreciated Slow-jo |

Ok..Byron did both the small Sabre (F-best looking) and the big Sabre(D/K) which has radar radome above a slimmer, wider airintake.I got the F Sabre, and so do you. Thats the good looking one... I will do my best to help you with tail section dim.,but I leave for Norway (I study in Sweden) for the summer next thursday(the Sabre stays in my flat in Sweden). Therefore it would be best if you give me details on what dimentions you need before that.
Thanks for the link. I will check into that. Nice to get in touch with Byron Sabre people. I have a hard time finding info on these kits and conversions. |

What I need is the dimensions of the stab and the elevator. In regards showing you the progress made on our plane, I should be able to do this after the 17th of this month. Unfortunately I am in the middle of university exams, and cannot get hold of a digital camera until then. With regards to the link that I gave you, please bear in mind that I am anticipating the weight of my plane being almost double that of the ducted fan version. As such these retracts are heavy duty, and quite heavy. Enjoy your holiday, and speak soon Slow-jo |

Hi again I am in the middle of my exams too.I will take photos and measure the tail before I leave for Norway (friday) but I probably will have to wait over the weekend before I can post details. I will try to be as accurate as possible. Do you need both horisontal and vertical stab and rudders? |

Could you please supply me with size of the planes horozontal stab and elevator. Also do you know where the centre of gravity is situated on the plane? No need to rush though. Good luck with the exams. Hope your preparation is going better than mine! Slow-jo |
