I'm just guessing.......truly "Monday morning quarter-backing" and based on 8000++ hrs. in the Bus, that at least 1/2 of that "side-stick drama" was unnecessary even in a nasty, gusty crosswind. Everybody does it, including me at times in the bus..........Sometimes if ya just let go and ease that grip a bit, everything magically smooths out. I fly it with my thumb and forefinger.......Just like the A-7:D:D

John

Its amazing how that works. I remember back in my mid teens my first Citabria landing, I was holding the stick super tight (thought I was a fighter pilot) and could not understand why I kept hitting the tail wheel first....pissed me off. My Dad in the back seat let me do it all morning too, we had lunch then back at it again. As we started out again he just said "just try holding the stick with two fingers" (thumb and forefinger)....it was like magic. On the way home I asked him why the heck he didn't tell me this after the first one, he just smiled and said "well, now you know". I guess that was my first lesson in over controlling an aircraft.

I had lots of trouble when i bought my `06 Z06 power shifting from 2nd to 3rd. I probably missed every other one until i posted for some help on the vette forum. Some guys says, get your thumb OFF the shifter, its not a baseball bat !!! use your palm and slam it in there the shifter will find the gate everytime by itself. He was right... its all in the grip :D

RE: JETBLUE MARK??

Basil you forgot Coast Guard Mark and painter Mark, oh and Doc Marc but "Bones" was a better name..............and you wonder why they named Markham park after us LOL

No we can't actually shoot them down because nobody would buy tickets anymore but they do give each airline a paintball canon;). Each airline gets its on designated color like Air Tran- green, Southwest-Orange, American-Red so on....that way when we land we know what airline would have shot us down......why do you think we walk around the airplane on the ground anyway?....looking for paint splatters:D LOL

Cactusflyer....good call on the grip..I hate guys that hold it like a bat.. they just beat you around the cockpit. I pity the poor slobs sitting on the last row. Everybody hates the "bus" except the guys who fly one.
