LIES as per FLY EAGLEinstruction when cylinders leak take apart and lube up o rings.When you take them apart and lube them they work fine for a couple of cycles then after the lube is blown out of the cylnder and the close tolerances start leaking air again guess what they dont work AGAIN.When I go to fly I just won't to put air in the retracts not take everything apart and relube them to get 3 maybe 4 flights.So yes they worked then,but 1-2 weeks later there are still leakey FLY EAGLE parts.I have tried several different o rings and still no good.

Listen my cylinders leaked from new, the new ones, and the new new ones. I even took them apart diagnosed the problem took pictures sent them my analysis (rudimentary) and guess what, same crap being sent to new owners. I installed BVM Cylinders and no more leaks. Secondly, I now of one guy that his airplane burst in the air due to wing balsa problem structure failure. Not all these planes are flying yet, mine is close to completion and hope the elevators will hold. I wished I would have never bought mine and I tried to sell it on here several times and no one wants it. The major complain was "did you here about the guy that his wings burst". All the hardware sucks big time peroid! The retract air cylinders will leak at one point due to the design of them. They did send replacement cylinders because the originals failed. These problems are not just from me they are from many who purchased the early kits. My advice to anyone trying to buy one of these jets, try to get them without hardware and buy everything else unless you are very good at fixing things and soldering ALL linkages. I am very unhappy with mine and if I could get it back into the original box(dont have) and ship it to TBM for some credit I would before I fly her.

From all my experience they have been very willing to help when help is needed. Just my 2 cents. 1. you send all the stuff back to FEJ and get a all new (factory tested) F-16 Advance, FEJ pay all shipping costs or 2. you send all the stuff back to FEJ and FEJ refunds you the entire price around 1800 $ and pay all shipping costs or 3. you sell all that stuff in your own opinion and i get you a free EV5U Valve (290 $) for your further projects. |

You are correct I was upset/concerned key word WAS..... I believed for a few days I was going to be left hanging with a gear that did not work. That is precisely why I am happy with FEJ, they have bent over backwards and then some to make things right.:D Gosh darn they sent me a new plane with new gear installed all I had to do was send my other main gear back, and that by the way was a honor system, I received the plane before I sent the gear back. I could have easily kept the first gear and second plane but I did not, they acted honorably and so did I. They sent me 2 planes for $1850!!!!! shipping for me was $0 So far my out of pocket expense for the two F16s and everything they have sent is $1850. The price of ONE PLANE!!!!! The big difference in our two dealings with FEJ in my humble opinion is simply, I did not expect to get a BVM or a Skymaster product for $1800 and I knew that going in to this venture. I was very well aware that I would probably be doing some modifications and parts swapping, the main gear had me worried, but I never for a second thought that FEJ would take care of me the way they have. They have been terrific. I am sorry that you have had such a terrible experience but I sincerely believe it is simply how you approach the value for the dollar. $1800 is NOT going to buy you a Skymaster F16 or Tamjets F16 with scale gear, cockpit, and ordinance or for that matter any other Turbine F16 out there. Good Luck with your dealings with FEJ, I mean it, no sarcasm, sounds like you have had a poor experience and I hope you get it worked out somehow. |

I wrote that I´m out of town and i will be back on saturday. You cant wait these two days and wrote another "very friendly" Mail to FEJ that makes it more difficult for me to fix the problem. in Fact that you feel free to post private PM that i send you ..... here is the Mail i wrote you. Hi KC, sorry that i cant answer on saturday but as i said i was out of town one day longer. At first pls note that: I´m a regular guy like you and all i do i do it for nothing. I pay the same price for my Jets like you and any other customer. So if i try to resolve the issues betwenn FEJ and you this is a Favour .... not a must to do. so here we go ..... in Fact the Boss on FEJ dont agree to refund you after nine month.Me and James discuss that a few hours and all the Time i have your Point in my mind. James told me that they offer you serveral times to refund you but you dont agree. The biggest problem is that you will send the stuff back COD. So FEJ dont have any chance to have a look if anything is ok. I told James to offer that stuff for the entire price to a customer near you, so this customer can pick up the stuff and pay you in cash. James agreed to do it this way. Before we have any chance to contact customer you send one more mail to FEJ. In Fact this was my IDEA to go this way to resolve your issue. So what we do now ..... ? can i offer the stuff to a private customer ? so here we go ..... there are two F-16 Advance still sitting at KC. one complet scale gear and a second scale main. one fuselage have a small scratch beside the tail cone. If anyone outthere want these jets FEJ is willing to help to finish them both. You can get them both for $ 1875,00. Pls contact KC to get them. Wow Eagle Driver, I must say, you had me convinced that you were someone up the ladder of FEJ's. You're just a "Regular Jet guy", pay the same price, why would you even attempt to help anyone or even suggest that you are an FEJ Rep?
KC, I'm disgusted for you buddy. I found myself in your same shoes with TWO of those first generation F-18's that Skymaster had a huge sale on. I was taken for over 5 large. Had multiple problems and that idiot in Hawaii, Eric, screwed me completely over. After that, I took a year off the hobby. When I came back into it, I just started primarily focusing on building my own stuff. It may not be as pretty as these arfs, but it is repeatable if I break something. Good Luck, |

Hi guys after reading the comments on Fly Eagle Jets i am very confused which name to go with. Do you guys think the newer F-16 1/6 Th scale will still have problems or it is better to pay the extra money and go with skymaster or any other manufacturer for less problems. please let me know

I have yet to recieve my 1/5.5 scale plane from FLJ yet, so I can not comment on it. I do have the SM 1/6 F-16 and it has not been a bowl of fun. That being said, the new ARF plus will help out a great deal, so I am told,,, the gear are awesome and the lines are very nice but you will pay a great deal more for the plane,,,,, Choices :D isn'y life grand
