RE: Simjet Info
I've had a 2300 for the last 4 years, never had a problem. Starts first time, every time.
Also have a Nexus, runs great. Service isn't an issue, Kerry Sterner is the rep, has a computer type balancing machine, so he can do it all. I'm going to buy another 2300 for an A-10 I hope to build this summer. BRG, Jon |
RE: Simjet Info
Have a 2300 since 2004. No major issues. Fast spool-up.

RE: Simjet Info
Have had 2200, 2300, 3000, and now waiting for a nexus to come in. Since Kerry took over there support over here in the USA, it has been the best. The Spool times are better than Artes Turbines, I also have the Rhino and like the Simjet better.

RE: Simjet Info
The Simjet 3000 has been the "workhorse" of the Norwegian jet pilots, and they all run great, with plenty of
power and a joy to start and operate. Tor |
RE: Simjet Info
I have mostly jetcats but I have a simjet 3000 in an avonds F15 and it has plenty of grunt. I have also owned a 1200 and that went well too. My impression of simjets is that they are quite economical on fuel and exhibit good efficiency.

RE: Simjet Info
I've got a Simjet in my Falcon 120 conversion and it runs like cloclworck.
I will definately put one in my Skymaster F-15 when it's ready. |
RE: Simjet Info
H Friends::)
I have 1700, 2300 and 3000 (unstarted), but in the two first (with simjet electronics I change to Gaspar electronic) I had problems in the start, I changed the gas injector, because in the Simjet the gas flow into the camera for a 3mm stell tube and in opossite side that the plug and for me was dificult find the quantity of gas correct. I put one needle for thae gas and them the started was perfect, always. It is possible that I made anything bad, for this reason I need change the injectors, but now I no have more problems. I will open the 3000 for see the injector and change for the needle. Regards from Spain. Carlos. _________________________________________ http://cmjets.blogspot.com/ |

RE: Simjet Info
I have the following;
Simjet 700 Gaspar ECU simjet 2300 D-2 ECU 2 Simjet 3000 Gaspar ECU All of these engines are good running engines with fast spool up and decent fuel efficiency. I have had a 14 lb 1200 that also ran great and another one (18 lb version) that gave me nothing but trouble. I believe the majority of the issues were with the ECU as it was one of the first aluminum case ECU's with early software. You havn't mentioned which size you were looking at. |
RE: Simjet Info
