hi martin i have been in touch with biron and he will come if he is not away in germany well so late to are meeting the jet pilots will have to go off site for food we cannot sort for maybes so this is your last chance as i am away to pampa jets tomorrow and i will not be at my pc till wed next week so its up to you martin will you sort food for nigel and carl thanks jonathan

Just arrived back from Elvington, and I have to say what a superb day, weather was perfect, this really is a great location, acres of flat concrete, just choose your direction and you will be into wind.

I would like to thank Martin Lees, and all his organisers for their great Yorkshire hospitality, really folks this is a great location, and just to finish off the day the Vulcan did a fly past for us.

Just a note to thank everyone involved organising the weekend.....A great weekend with great people and some fantastic jet flying even though a certain Mr White said that my new paint job on the boomerang was like "putting lipstick on a pig"...I forgive you Geoff and actually secretly agree with you! Can't wait for next year and Geoff I promise it will be with one of my scale jobs! Good to see everyone and thanks again

Just got back from elvington and I would like to add my thanks for to the Elvington Model flyers for a great event. The facilities and organisation were amongst the best I have ever experienced.

My observations on the weekend are the excellent flying by Richard(can't remember his surname, sorry) who was flying a jolly rogers Flash. It was his very first jet meet but he flew like a real pro and if he reads this, don't make it your last one. Also I have to mention one of the local guys, Andy, with his high alpha flying with the Rafale. I have never seen a model jet flying so slowly!

The two big F16's were also very impressive, one was a Skymaster and the other a Jet legend. They were both flown very well.

But I have to say my personal highlight of the weekend was spending an evening out with Mark Handley and Andy Aldridge, my modelling 'Dad', in York taking in the 'sights', which mainly involved high heels and stockings. It was a laugh a minute:)

On another matter, Mark, I thought that conversation was just between you and me!

Every thing turned out well even organising of the fly past of the vulcan & again later
in the afternoon.
Watching the night life in york will not help you blood pressure Geoff, but at least Andy left with a smile on his face.

i second what martin said out of all the jet meetings i have been to this year this was the best i brought some blackpool sun with me when i set off, thanks to all the lads from kirkbride for surporting us and the one and only geoff white for the flawless flights he put on all weekend see you all next year regards jonathan

I would like to add my thanks to all who came, some from very considerable distances, to make the weekend a great success.
I personally thought that the standard of flying was exceptionally good all weekend.
I also want to officially thank all those club members who worked hard to make sure it was a success, particularly Martin Lees who has worked tirelessly to organise the event, his son Ian who also never stops, and Bill and Hazel Marshall who fed us all weekend.
We must also thank Elvington Events Ltd for giving us permission to run the event, and hopefully we will get a weekend next year to do the same.
And finally, to Vulcan to the Sky for not one but two flypasts of the Vulcan. Made my day:D

Thanks to all for a fabulous day out, especially to all the guys from the Elvington club that worked so hard to pull this together. V much appreciated.

And to Bill's wife for the sandwiches and tea !

Thanks also to Geoff White for the jaw droppingly precise displays with the Hawk and his pointy sports projectile, which was so fast I could not focus long enough to determine where it left and then returned into UK airspace - Truly world class.

My personal thanks to all that made this event such a success, highlights for me were the weather, Bill and Hazel tirelessly feeding and watering us all weekend, the fantastic company and banter (particularly during the evenings), Geoff White's smooooth flying (some of the best I have seen), Chris's autogyro, 558 and thanks to all who made friends with Holly the jet dog, don't know who was more knackered me or her.
