Wing section for jet models
Hello, what kind of wing section is better for a jet model? Low drag-low lift, high drag- high lift? What is the airfoil choice in BVM or Airworld or other famous brands? Does Skymaster or Feibao or Jetlegend put high efficiency wing section in their models? Thanks for your reply |

Does Skymaster or Feibao or Jetlegend put high efficiency wing section in their models? Thanks for your reply The only company I am aware of that is using a full CAD design chain ( from the initial design to airflow simulation and CNC mould cutting ) is Aviation Design in France ( they use their military UAV expertise on the smaller size models ). You must know that full size aviation predicitions do not fully apply on our models because of the very low Reynolds numbers ( size of the airfoil relative to air viscosity ). Some software available on the net provide some good simulations basics. I am not a specialist but from what I've seen from the highly renown Aviation Design projects is that they have chosen very thick profiles for most of their jets. |

High efficiency means high lift/low drag, in many cases is semi-simmetrical section with 10-12% thickness ratio:
are they preferred for jets or a low lift/very low drag is better? |
