Wren 160
 

I know the legendary quality and reliability of the Wren engines but haven't seen a huge amount about practical experiences with the Wren 160.

Do you have one and if so what it is like in use? I am particulary interested in the throttle response.
Does anyone have one in a Eurosport? If so, do you have any pics of the installation?

Does anyone have any video of a model flying with this engine?

Hi '33,

I am just buttoning up the install of a Wren 160 in a Yellow F-15 (see the other Wren 160 thread for pics). There are also some flight reports from Texas, where winter is not an issue (!). Ron Ballard from Wren USA can give you info on the running characteristics in his test setup, the guys in Tx can help on the flight reports.

Hoping for another winner from Wren!

I know you are less than an hour's drive from us - if you'd like to come down to the Open Day next month there will be a 160 on the test stand and you can try the throttle response for yourself.

i have a 160 in a scorpion it is awsome the throttel respones is great from 1/4 to full throttel there is vertuly no lag
the starts a fast and smooth
You cant go wrong with this engine it is truly a jewel
