Servo operating on switch on.

I have a problem with an uncommanded servo operation on my Fly Eagle Rafale. When I switch on the Tx & Rx, the servo operating the UP3 valve moves to the gear up position, then back to where it should be. This would not be good if the jet is sitting on its wheels at the time. At some point, I am sure to forget & trash the gear doors. None of the other servos act in this way.
I am using the 2.4 Spectrum AR 9000 Rx & a JR PCM9X2 Tx.
Is there a fix for this?
Being jet related I posted here, instead of the radio section.

i had the same problem a while back. It was one of 2 things. Either the failsafe position is gear up or the last time it was switched off the gear was up, in which case you need to cycle the gear a couple of times and then switch ithe rx off with the gear down. It sounds more like the failsafe in your case if it's always doing it.

Mine was the latter. I had to put the model in the car above another one and i had to retract the gear and then turn it off to get it to fit. I'd then turn it on and lower the gear and switch it off again until i was ready to fly. When it came round to flying i'd turn it on and the model dropped on it's belly and then the gear lowered again. I forgot to hold it a few times when turning it on, untill i realised what was happening.

Duncan. The problem is now solved. I did another bind & all is working ok. I think what must have happened is when I set the failsafe for the turbine to go to idle, the gear switch must have been at the up position.

Many thanks
Jim

I have the Tam Jets Landing Gear Fail Safe System that prevents gear collapse at switch on and it extends the gear if air pressure drops to a predetermined value.

Once an ir hose was broken in fligth and thanks to the landing gear fail safe, the gear was extended once the aire pressure passed through 50 psig, saving my jet.

It costs me USD $ 110.000

if you use the Tam gear failsafe w/ a 2.4 setup, you need to bind with the gear switch in the UP position (yeah i know, sounds strange huh?) or the gear can self retract as the receiver is powered on.
