to admin : trouble with pics?
 

from today if i visit threads it askes me for username and password in a separate window. (windows network login).
also most pics are blended out , i think somehow i need to login to see the pictures?.
must be a mistake ..

I am getting that as well. I also have problems in the classifieds. If I try to access a sale item, I am asked to log in, although I am alresdy logged in. If I do log in again, I still get asked to log in again & so it just goes in a loop. I reported it to admin, but never got a reply or solution to the problem.
I think the site needs some attention.

it is not a rcuniverse login but your windows is trying to make a tunnel login to rcuniverse...

I will look into this now. We upgraded a server yesterday and the upgrade created havoc on some permissions on one of our 5 front end servers. I tested it yesterday and saw what you note but then fixed it so not sure if this is an issue with an existing browser session or something that is still persisting

Please post a link to the page that you get this message on. I just tested that server now in a few ads and could not duplicate. also try restarting your browser and note if it persists.

It just happened to me literally seconds ago....No rhyme or reason....The login window just pops up randomly for me...

click the Community button in the main nav and scroll to the bottom of the page. see what server you are on (rcu1,2,3,4 or 5). it says on the bottom. also I need link to the page you hit that you got that

Marc - not sure where this community button is that you are talking about...

Issue is not old browser sessions etc., as I got them just a few minutes ago after a reboot.

I just tested again, and got it with http://www.rcuniverse.com/forum/m_8626157/tm.htm ; note that the SECOND time I visit that page, the issue does not appear - only the first time.

the community button is the one at the top of every page on rcu in the main nav "RC COMMUNITY"

need to verify which server this is occuring on

hmmm...not what I expected. the only server we touched last night was rcu4. also the images serve off of a CDN and not from RCU so anything that happens locally on our servers should not affect images served via CDN.

I'm on RCU5 right now and cannot duplicate but it seems this is very spotty since I don't have many posts about this or any trouble tickets yet. I'l keep looking but any add'l info on the problem is helpful

Ok....good...maybe hector was on 4 too then probably was bounced to 2 when he checked.

rcu4 would make sense.

so is it every thread or just some of them. is it only ones with photos or only ones with photos maybe posted since last night perhaps? any insight to these questions will help narrow this down

I tried to start a new thread with pics and it would error out when i tried to upload the pics.
