RE: questions

Hi Scott yes you should have the vent outside of the plane.1 incase as you are filling so you do not fill your plane with fuel when the tanks are filled.2That is where the taxi tank or over flow tank is connected.3 Yes it will help the fuel sys. not with a vac but with press. There should be a arrow between the ports on the pump.

RE: questions

it doesn't matter if it creates a vacuum or not, it can't produce enough to cause any problems with the pump, I've seen people forget to take the vent plug off and the fuel pump will completely collapse a blow molded (dubro style) tank and it'll implode a fiberglass or Kevlar tank.

There should be an arrow on the pump showing the direction for fuel flow. I think that is what you are asking? Gary
