Nano Quick Build.....
1 Attachment(s)
Been quite a while since I flew a Boomerang so I thought I would throw one together for myself. The Nano was in house for the gear development and every time I walked past it I could hear a faint whisper saying build me... yes you, build me....
Well, just under 12 hours into it and all I have left is to glue the intakes on, linkage and CG. Old trusty Super Bee dropped right in. Really a well thought out kit that is very simple to assemble. Two thumbs up to Alan!! Well done! |

Hey . . . I don't see an aluminum stopper on that tank. :)
Thanks - I will use your layout as a template. |

RE: Nano Quick Build.....
Hmmm . . . maybe I should buy one of those digital air guages from you since the airpower set is out of stock. The price on that is pretty good. What powers it?

I have a kit that is crying out the same thing. Can I send it to you? |

ORIGINAL: lov2flyrcYes, they are quite nice. Comes with two three way fill valves in the package as well. They do need a power lead from the RX so you will need a free port or use a Y lead. They are in stock. Does it draw much juice and will it run on 6.6v? BTW - what are you using for power to your receiver and ECU? Any photos of the gear under the main board? . |

One more question - any issues hitting the CG using the Super Bee? Any added weight? Steve . |
RE: Nano Quick Build.....
Hey Todd:
That little digital air guage is a nice little gizmo. I am diggin it - especially for the price. It is probably worth mentioning on your web page for it that it requires a male-to-male servo extension to power it though. That way people can plan to have one ready. Steve |
RE: Nano Quick Build.....
HI, nice install, glad to see you did not install that dreaded time bomb, the propane can.

RE: Nano Quick Build.....
I see you are using two double Jet Tronic valves???

RE: Nano Quick Build.....
Steve,
No problems with the balance, used two 4300mah LiIon packs (rx and ecu) in the nose and balance was dead on. I have not measured the current draw on the digital air gauge but since it has no valves, I would imagine the draw is minimal. Trying to get Airpower to include the male to male lead with the unit. No problems with the unit on A123 packs. Pete, correct, I do not use onboard propane, try to eliminate potential fire hazards as much as possible. Jascat, I am using the Jettronic low loss brake valve which is similar in configuration to the dual action unit. |
