Hi my name is Shaz, and I am an addict. I can't stop obssessing over planes. Especially jets. I buy them when I don't have money, I buy them when I have 3 boxes of them unbuilt. I buy them on impulse, or simply OUT OF STUPIDITY. I have 4 builds going at any one time, half of them usually aren't even at my house. My wife has no idea.

Well, she kind of does, but no real idea how bad it is. When I am bored at work, I am on RCU, scoping out jets & warbirds. When my wife uses the computer after me, she has to close 16 windows all with ads for jets, searches under jets, jet forum, RCU buy/sell jets. Why do I leave the computer? So I can go to the basement and tinker with my planes (mostly jets).

My whole weekend seems to go better when I fly on saturday or sunday. If I come back with as many jets as I took to the field, I can't stop smiling. I used to have a beer or two on friday nights. Why dont I anymore? Because I dont want to effect my jet flying the next day. People think I must be rich, I am not, I just spend all my disposable income in jets. My poor baby daughter will probably have to work all through college, I will probably never get to retire, our family vacation each year should be to 4 or 5 jet rallies, but then my wife would leave and I wouldn't have any spouse and could just spend time tinkering with my jets. Hmmm...that's a thought.

I have a problem, so I think I am starting an anonymous group. I know most of you reading this have a problem too, but you can't get help if you don't admit it. I will help you. Sell me your jet, we will both feel better.

I like jetporn.... I cant keep my hands off the cpu. I will watch it all day if you let me. I guess I need to go to some kind of rehab for this.

I've spent 15k in the last 10 months.. Its not looking any better for the next 10 either.

On the bright side..I'm getting used to hot dogs and water now :D

You guys are sick indeed.. Life has a lot of nice things to be enjoyed, like reading a good book, traveling to a nice place or even just watch a pretty girl or two.

My wife told me I'm "selfish" since I spend more money on jets than her.[sm=punching.gif][sm=bananahead.gif]

I've got a new jet on the way and I'm still looking at other stuff. Dying to put a Flash together.

After following my physician's recommendation to take two credit cards and call the nearest supplier of arf jets in the morning, I have found some relief in knowing that UPS, USPS, FEDEX, or some similar hauler of large boxes will soon be knocking on my door. A few years ago I stood at an airshow with a good friend whilst a Hawker Hunter taxied onto the line. It parked, the canopy opened and down the ladder came the pilot. The bone dome came off to reveal long blond hair and the face of an angel. Even in a RAF flight suit she was a stunning girl and a Hunter Pilot.
Both of us went weak at the knees, and then my friend declared that he was in love. I realised that I felt the same way too, but then to my horror I realised that my friend was talking about the girl[X(]
Do you think he can be saved?

My name is Jim and I am an jetaholic.

Its totally disgusting, I'm on a flight heading to San Diego paying for internet service so I can be logged on to RCU reading about all the other people that are totally addicted to this wonderful hobby. Worse yet, I'm going to San Diego to see the Blue Angles (more jets!). Does it ever end???

There is a guy in the classified ad jet section right now selling around (in his opinion) $100,000 of his jets.


I feel sorry for the guy. And myself. A little.
