Making a Solid Nose wheel

1 Attachment(s)
Being desperate for a solid nose wheel ,I decided to make one.
Took a Dubro 2.5" dia soft wheel, cut a half inch slit in the top, pried it open with a piece of scrap wood and poured in warmed epoxy.
Its nice and solid.
We will see if it works.

It is heavier on one side, going to make another one with a mixture of micro ballons.

try chucking it up in a drill with an axle and spinning it fast and see if you get vibration, i had a solid tire that vibrated bad on the take off roll, replaced it and problem solved, i then cut the tire open and found a large air pocket in the material. now i spin all tires/rims before mounting them on a jet.
