RE: Bye Bye A-10
Mate, at least it gets to live on in sunnier climes rather than follow the Hunter route :(
Anyway, it needed to go as I've decided you need to buy Tom Cook's new Dauntless for that 400cc moki! |

Sorry guys, I could not resist a bit of fun. Plus it brings a little bit of joy to the lives of some haters :D
Yep I am happy to say that the A-10 has not crashed. Instead I had the last flights of it as I handed it over to it's new Owner Brian " The Bear" Busuttil from Malta. Brian actually bought the model from me way back in July on a visit he made to the UK. The agreement we had was that I because I needed it for the rest of my demo season, I would hand it over some time after Jet Power. Brian sent over a Futaba 14 MZ and a pair of 14 ch 2.4 futaba receivers. With the model having already been set up on a power box royal the change over was super simple. We then took it flying and got some buddy time with 4 perfect flights in what has to be the most extreme weather conditions I have ever flown in. Both the bear and the Hog handled it really well. Although I am sad to see one of my best and most reliable models go, I am really happy that is going to a great home and a new owner that will really appreciate it for the great plane it is. Have Fun Brian, and remember if you need any help with flying it, or setting it up ( Even doing the wing bolts up ) the Al's Hobbies full free after sales package is applicable. ;) Regards Al A few photos to mark the occasion.. Shame these do not show how really windy it was ( I guess it was gusting 30 Mph ) |

RE: Bye Bye A-10
Hector. No sorry this one is off to sunny Malta! I am trying my hardest to hold onto some models to put in the container for Domincan republic meeting, but its proving difficult with sales the way they are:D
Anton: We all know what my next A-10 will be. ;) Yes this time it must be ready in time for Jet Power! When you get time please email me, we have much to discuss. Alex. I am always looking for new toys. Working now on the big hunter, also some new big hawks coming ( One skygate and one Tomahawk ) also a huge ME 262 and then a bunch of normal size stuff. Looking at Skymaster it looks like 2010 will be a busy year for new toys! |
