I think a lot of bobcats will be up for sale once the king cat comes out .comments.

I don't think so.. Not everyone will want an airplane of this size. For some people, the Bobcat is big.

Quite a few people will have both I think.

I agree with Doug on this. One of the things I like most about my Bobcat is how easy it is to transport. I can easily carry two Bobcats in the back of my Expedition along with all the support equipment.
Now I can see myself possibly owning one of these King Cats, but I rally like the size and flying characteristics of my current Bobcat.

What is the current availability of the King Cat?

I stopped by BVM when I was in Orlando this past week. David told me they were shooting for a ship date of late Sept or early Oct.. Even being ARF, BV wants to make sure everything is correct before it goes out the door.

Hey Doug, was there any indication on price? and also being ARF does the price include gear/wheels, fuel system etc... I here it might be available in various colour schemes as well, any news on choices? Also where is the KingCat made?

Cheers-

Spoke with David a couple of days ago about the price of the Kingcat and he stated that the out the door price with plane, gear, and fuel cells will be around 4000-4700 depending on paint scheme. 4000 price will be for just an all white airplane that can be painted to whatever color scheme.

Patrick.

Sorry.. I don't have any more info. I did see a couple of the possible paint schemes.. but nothing was finalized yet. They all looked pretty good.

That may be true for me. I am thinking of selling my beloved BC for the KC!!

The BC can be flown very close and tight, I wonder if the KC will be able to be flown the same way (big and light!)

Also, I think the colored ones will have names and decals on them, so I may opt for the white one!

What enignes are you guys, who are buying them, going to put on them? the P120 or P160 or Peggy?

I have my name in the hat for a white King Cat. The plan is to put a 120 on it. From what I have seen of the KC you can fly them close and tight if need be. The slow flight is awesome.

The older I get, the bigger the planes get.

I think once the KC is available, there will be and increase of BC's up for sale.

I think some will sell their BC's but I know I will keep mine. I love the way it flies and it is my current hot rod. I will be running a P-160 on my KC.

Has anyone looked at the Husler from Tom Cook? It looks like a really well built kit with lots of engineered features and about the same price as the KC.
