JetCat Mounting Brackets

Has anyone used any kind of temp. proof 'tape' or something between the engine case and mounting brackets to protect the engine case from getting scratched-up?

If the clamp is a good fit, it shouldn't scatch the chromed cases. They only mark if it's loose and there is movement.
