RAM1000X ECU Version?

I had my RAM1000 updated to the "X" version last fall. When the turbine was returned, so was the old ECU along with the new ECU. The problem is, they are both externally identical! On the one I believe to be the new ECU, the data terminal shows the version as "C02C". Can anyone confirm whether this is the updared "X" version ECU?

I also believe the new red colored ECU battery is 1250MAH. Can anyone confirm?

aptar,
You are correct on both issues. C02C is the latest version, and the red shrinkwrapped battery is 1250 Ma "SCR" cells.

RAM1000X ECU Version?

Thanks Harley.

Getting it set up on the test stand to run it tomorrow for the first time since I had it upgraded.

I had nothing but wet starts with it before the upgrade and it ruined a new Tam pipe I had in my T-33. I have since installed a Jetcat P120 in the T-33 but I have a large F-86 that I hope to power with the RAM1000, assuming the upgrade cured what ailed it. I will find out tomorrow.

The co2c is the latest of the bunch. When starting the gas solenoid open then the start motor runs for a sec. The second run
is the ignition start. If the engine do not start check your glow plug setting , should be 40/35.

Ran the engine today. The first start attempt failed. It lit the propane and started the fuel ramp but failed to ignite on the fuel. We then noticed fuel dripping from the rear of the turbine. We emptied the turbine of raw fuel as well as we could, spooled it up a few times to blow excess fuel out. Then we had four or five perfect starts and runs. One thing I did notice though is that when I pulled the throttle quickly back to idle, The engine was sort of pulsing and hunting rpms. When I pulled back to idle a little slower, this condition did not occur. It seemed to stabilize at a good idle. I will do a few more test stand runs before I install it in my F-86 in a full bypass system
