Another Skygate hawk ( Great pics )
 

I Know there have already been a bunch of Skygate Hawk threads, and I was not intending to make yet another. Thats is until I started getting some really cracking photos sent through.
The model is no stranger to RCU. It was owned and built by Mark Schroeder. I purchased it from mark a few weeks ago with the intention of it being one of my display models in 2010. Well after one outing and only two flights it was purchased by an Indian customer of mine. I hope to get the chance to fly it again some time in february when I go out there to assist the new owner and attend an event.
As I have said before some models I dont mind selling, others I am sad to see go but look at it as an opportunity to get into something new, and then some very few I am gutted to sell. This was definitely one of the latter. After only 4 flights I knew this model was spot on... Oh well :( Anyway time for some great photos.

Oh damn.. Small photos again. I will see if I can twist the arm of the really skilled photographers ( Lozza and Neil) to come and post some of the photos in a decent size

You need to start speaking to Dan right away, Fully loaded is the only way to travel, and I never thought ( After my F4 experience ) that I would hear myself say this but it has to have a chute. Man when that thing worked for the first time it was so sweet!

Mark, we're going to have to make the new Toma Hawk sick dude. I hadn't seen your Hawk since you finished it and put everything on it. I think you were NUTS for selling her. Thanks to Tony king for posting me a link to a video which he took on Monday. Excuse me for the flying. It was the first flight on this radio set up, and I had a main gear hang down, plus the flaps were ever so slightly asymmetric, and the radio springs were too soft, and it was cold LOL Thats enough excuses I think..

Ref the Photos. Laurie ( Lozza ) is a Uk modeler who took up photography as a hobby a while ago. he specializes in low level military heavy metal flying through our UK valleys. Luckily for me he has remained in the model flying hobby as well, so now and again we are graced with his presence at a jet meeting...
