Weight specs of Peter Michel's Concorde model??

I am looking to get intouch with Bob Lavine out of TX some where, don't worry guys i'm searching him for a good reason and not as "wanted" for any crime...lol.

Bob built a huge Concorde model with his own design and flew it at Frank's Monster Planes event!. I am seriously looking into designing and building this model in near future, i need to know all i can get about his model. Anyone on here know's where he is, pls post his contact info here or PM me, also ask him to get intouch with me on here or through email.
[email protected]

This i can do while i'll be recovering at home after i get released from hospital soon.

Regards,
Sam

I believe Bob Levine is from New York, not Texas. You can probably track him down through Dan Gill at Details4scale (www.details4scale.com) since they just were working on a SU-35 project together. Good luck.

I'm sure Bob has the info you'll need, but I do know he sold that jet last year.

I hate to contradict anything that you may have been told, but the Concorde of Bob's was from the design of Peter Michel in Germany. It was kitted by a friend Michael Baur as an all composite compete kit. I now as I have had one.
I saw the plane in question while I was attending an event in the Dominican Republic last year.

Sammy,

Bob is not from Texas Sammy...I believe you must have me confused with someone else. Remember,
I am the person who initially showed you two images of Bob with his Concorde at Monster Planes. From
what I read on your Concorde thread someone made the statement they thought Bob's Concorde was
a kit, not scratch built.

Considering Bob was at Frankie's Monster Planes...it would stand to reason Frankie has Bob's email
address and probably a telephone number. If I were to guess, I'd say you're looking at something like
$2,500 for the Concorde glass kit based on its size...then you have to float it across the pond.

Butch Sickles probably still has his dim data for his Concorde and I am sure he would mill one for you.

Hey Ed,

No it didn't confused me, i thought myself that Bob was from Texas but it was pointed to me in this thread that he isn't but instead from NY.
I am still waiting from Bob's email to come though, nothing so far, i will ask him all the related n needed questions about his Concorde.
When you say "float it across the pond", you mean big pond we relate Atlantic ocean.....this will also correspond that his model was/is kit built but not scratch built.
Well lets hope Bob gets intouch with me soon so i can move forward on this project. Butch dosen't have his drawings anymore of his Concorde models but whatever info data he has, he helps out with it.

I'm home now and it's great to be back home with proper diagnosis and now i will be going to get proper treatment for my back problems IA.

RE: Weight specs of Peter Michel's Concorde model??

My model was powered by a pair of AMT Mercury HP's. Great turbine but a little heavy, which meant quite a lump of nose weight was required. Plus it was way overpowered.
If I did another ( Which I really want to do) I would go with two P-60's as I am sure this would power it perfectly and be allot lighter.
It was a light weight model for its size. Even with all my extra baggage, mine was only 43 lbs. I really did enjoy my model and it flew for several seasons here in the Uk and across Europe. It had a couple of idiosyncrasies but once you had masters those it was great fun to fly and presented so well in the air.
Here is a link to the photo of my old model, in its much talked about livery.

Thanks Ali for chiming in n helping out. For a plane that size i would think 43lbs is light weight yet you think AMT Mercuries were on bit heavy side plus all the extras on board her. What would you estimate weight would be with twin P-60 in her?. Since my model will be EDF powered i am trying to get some weight estimates roughly generated at this time what my model will end up being. Was your model 1:15 scale or 1:16th?.

Can also tell me diemention specs of your model if possible as these would really help me with my build.

Was your model in "Virgin Atlantic's" livery as proposed for Richard Branson if he would have been successful to acquire Concorde's fleet for his airline...

We had one full-composite Peter Michels Concorde in stock up until a week ago, it sold within 2 weeks of arrival.

[link=http://www.vogelsang-aeroscale.com/braeuerconcorde.html]Michel Concorde made by Braeuer in Germany[/link]

We will get another one in stock towards fall.
I met both Mr. Michels and Mr. Bräuer when they delivered the Concorde and the PC6 TurboPorters to our warehouse in Germany and it was a pleasure talking to Mr. Michels.
And Mr. Bräuer is a long-time friend of mine, by the way. Both are true gentlemen and the Concorde is absolutely fantastic.

best regards,

Götz Vogelsang
