"Our symphathies go out to him." LOL

Ok seriously, how many jets does he have, and when does the sale begin? :-)

Two turbines -- Star, the gorgeous BVM F-4 and a new BVM Bobcat nearing completion which will be piloted by the famous "dead squirrel". We are eagerly awaiting our next baby -- perhaps the next new one by BVM? Our stable still includes our gliders and Edge 540. Don't worry guys! I still love the planes and I still love hanging out with you all; you'll see us as usual however now Jason's "Fusi-Fusi" call will have to add a "Mrs. Fusi-Fusi" version. Oh, don't forget the Fresno-Madera Jet Rally Sept. 20-21 (19th is optional).

unheard of

You mean your wife is willingly going to attend a jet rally! Was a bribe of jewelry involved? If not I am impressed!

Attend "a" rally? I haven't missed one Dave's been to in 4 years. In fact, I whine until I get to go to a rally or even a day of flying at the local field. I help put on the Fresno-Madera Jet Rally as well. I drive all over California picking up planes and parts as needed. I lug all the the support equipment and in the old days of the run-up-RAM engines, I held the planes and assisted in start-up. I even spotted a couple air bubble fuel issues and brake-line air leaks. And, the real kicker, I just helped sand down the nose and wing of our lovely Mirage 2000 to ready it for repainting after our "oops" in Tucson. Yeah, I love the little buggers (planes) like I love our other pets. No bribery needed. I even stop and stare at the Fresno Airguard's F-16's or our Lemoore NAS' superhornets. I must be a keeper after all. Like I say, "I'm a really good woman." I will soon begin giving seminars to other R/C Jet wives (kidding! though most of you would just love that).

Great response

LOL! Great response Cara. I wish that my wife would learn to fly and attend some events with me. In fairness though she did help me plan/run the Maine Jet Rally a couple years, and she even prepared and served dinner to the attendees. She also supports my spending and has been very generous on birthdays. On top of that she has become very good at recognizing models, both scale and sport, and a couple of years ago while we were out west she spotted a pair of F117s flying around the moutains near Holloman Air Force Base. I guess I shouldn't complain.

By the way, here in Maine folks would say you are a "keepah." In fact I distinctly remember a business associate calling my wife that!

Congrats Dave and Cara from Paul & Corey Reese. Y'all are two of our favorite people to see at all the S.W. rally's. You guys got it goin' on.
All those who know Dave know that it couldn't have happened to a nicer guy.

While we're on the subject...when you're getting "mad props" for planes that you purchased from Dave, that were built by Dave (and you know who you are), you need to give credit where it's due every once in a while. Don't be all hush hush letting everyone think you are the builder of that beautiful plane. Irritating, to say the least. Alrighty then, I'm steppin' down offa dis' beeeyaaaatch.

No kidding......

How many of us are lucky enough to have a gal who not only tolerates the hobby, but actually digs it?............

You were smart to snatch her up, cuz it woulda just been a matter of time before some other jet jock swooped in.....

Hope it was a nice ceremony. God bless you both and CONGRATS!!

I'd be one of those lucky guys. My wife joins me at almost all the jet events I go to (the only one she doesn't go to is Liberty Bell, but that's only because she's at a convention that week/weekend.) She also joins me at the giant scale events I attend.

She spots for me. She holds plane parts while I work on them. She takes pics and vids. She makes lunch for me. She keeps me company. She's great.

Heck, we're spending our anniversay (23rd) at Heart of Ohio! Can't get much better than that!!

Best of all, she grew into it well after we were married. I didn't get into this great hobby until 1990.

'Nuff about me. Congrats to Dave and Cara!
