</div><div>It is electric but is significantly harder to fly than a boomerang. The fact that it is electric allowed me to practice a lot by myself. I think it is a pretty reasonable way to get in turbines, although I recommend a Boomerang Elan these days.</div><div> </div><div>Arnaud</div><div> </div> |

Facet 2300 powered by a P-80. With that said, I think on this thread, only the ones that used the right jet to get a waiver will respond.
I dont think you will have anyone say, " Yes I used the new Habu" or " I used my friends foamy". It really comes down to the turbine CD's we have to carefully protect our future by the way we sign waivers out to new turbine pilots... Mark |
RE: jet you got waiver with
if you look at the other post with the survey, 14 out of 68 think it's ok, legal, or for what ever reason to use a Habu for a waiver test.
Thats like using a Pinto to take you driving test to drive a tractor trailer.......... Mark |

Well, I didn't get my waiver with a jet - back then, you were not ALLOWED to use a turbine. You had to get your waiver FIRST, before you were even allowed to touch the sticks on the buddy box for a turbine powered model. Gordon |
RE: jet you got waiver with
Reaction 54 with a P-70. Gotta land it slow or it will float forever. I still think it's a good entry level candidate but you also have to be a builder. Today that's a diminishing art.
