Graupner Harpoon Mk1 - Elevon linkages
Afternoon all,
I am just trying to figure out the control linkages on a Graupner Harpoon Mk1 kit I am assembling at the moment, and I was wondering if someone who has one of these, or has built one, could offer a little advice? I'm specifically wondering what length servo arm, and control surface horn (i.e. where is the control linkage pickup hole in relation to the hingeline), is being used to give the required ±35mm elevon movement required? The length of the servo arm is limited by the depth of the wing. I wouldn't mind keeping the control linkage nice and straight too, then I can sleeve the M3 studding used, with some Carbon tube. Cheers Andy |

You use a 20mm radius horn (JR super servo arm) and have the servo with the spline at the rear, you open the slot to a clevis width and the clevis/arm when will just break the surface. Same on Harpoon II Dave |

you wont need 35mm travel, you will find 25mm MORE than adequate. I actually use less Regards Pete |
