Terminator

Hi, a friend of mine is finishing up a terminator to fly hopefully this weekend. Neither of us know very much about this jet, except that it's not in production anymore. I find the instructions are kinda vague....anyone out there has one of these planes??...looking for any tips...technical, flying etc. This one has an o.s. 91/dynamax fan. We're trying to find a way to install the pipe hangar...not very much room in the ducting, in fact, the pipe actually jams right up on the top side of the ducting
Thanks,
Lee.

Thanks,
Lee.

Me and my wife each built one, and one is still flying about 8 years later.

We used a Violett pipe hanger, and the pipe does set right at the top of the duct.

Flying is easy. They handle well, and are very fast. Mine had a BVM 91 and Viofan and was clocked at 220 mph. Landing is the only tricky thing about them. You have to get up elevator in when going down wind and get a bit of power back in. If you just cut power and glide for it they will over shoot just about every time. If you get the nose up and have to use power to hold altitude you can control the descent, and touch down at a fairly reasonable speed. If during the turn from down wind to final the model starts to swing wide, go around, chances are you are not going to make the landing. There is something that happens at low speed that does not allow the model to roll very much.

I hope this helps your friend.

Steven
