Electra owners...

I'm building a new BVM Ultra-Viper and have decided to do away with the flaperons. The plans do not show an option for separate ailerons/flaps unfortunately. Could any of you guys with an electra measure the root and tip chords and the span of the ailerons and flaps for me?

thanks,
Thomas

RE: Electra owners...

Flap root cord 4 and 5/16 inches,
Flap tip and aileron root cord 3 inches,
Aileron tip cord 1 and 5/8th inches
Flap span 13 inches
Aileron span 11 and 3/8 inches.
Had to go and get my wings out of my van hope this helps.

Ron,
that is Exactly what i was looking for! Looks as if the Ultra Viper wing is about 4" shorter per panel, and my guesstimate on flap/aileron chords was about right. Thanks for the help!

I have an original BVM Viper kit in the shop somewhere in the room of kits to build. I am going to put flaps on it as well since flaperons washes in the wing when you put them down. Having flaps and ailerons for setting a little crow in the mix for landing is what really is nice for speed and decent control for landing. I use it on all my jets.
