Lewis "The General" Patton is the one you want to speak with on anything related to the Century Jet Models F-18E. He goes by the RCU username Jeteye.

Countryboy, do you own one ?

It seems that their F-18 gear is the best in terms of geometry.

I don't personally own one, but I have been up close to this airframe both in kit form and built. While it may not be as refined as some kits on the market, it does build into a nice F-18. While the old kit versions were a little on the heavy side, CJM have managed to be more selective in the layup process and shaved a considerable amount of weight out of the all composite airframe. The gear are very robust and the several times that I had seen Lewis fly, I don't recall any gear problems or tipping on landing. As a single, you would not want any less than 45 lbs. thrust to really make it perform.

Hi Nici

Just want to remind you, I had once the CJM F-18, partly finished, I sold
the model to Meinrad (my friend with the F-15 and F-16; remember Eolo?)
this due to other projects.

With my little support, the model is now almost ready for painting.

In case you like some personel statements to the kit, just contact me.....
you have my number. :-)

See you hopefully at the Swiss Masters in October in Emmen
