Default Fantom fr18 vs Sirio 3.0

Which one is better? the Fantom costs less and they say it is as good if not better than the sirio. but more people have the sirio than the fantom. (this is going into a stock 2.5 t-maxx). and after i decide on the engine, i am looking for some kick@$$ exhuast. i want something that has a deep growl and is so loud that i will be banned from the neighborhood. so i am looking at the dual exhaust, but will it increse performance and make it sound more awesome-er? but i am not just looking at dual exhuast, just something that is really loud and looks cool. :rainfro:

i have also been checking out the o.s. cv hyper. but what is the hp? it says .68 ps or something like that link to towerhobbies- http://www2.towerhobbies.com/cgi-bin...?&I=LXPV46&P=0 but what is better? high rpms or lower? this has 10,000 less rpms than the fantom for top-end. i was looking at this because it has the same mounting measurements as the 2.5 and thats what i got. maybe ill sell the 2.5 or something. any offers?

the fantom and the sirio have the same mounts as the 2.5 as well. less rpm = lower top speed.

where on towerhobbies does it say that it has 3 hp? i think its like 3 cc's or something like that. but the hp is 1.9.

but back to the o.s. hyper- what is .68 ps? thats what o.s. gives for its power output. dont know what that is?

ok i think ive decided to be different also:bananahea than this thread. im sure other people have done the same, but i think im goin for the racers edge .21 conversion and an xtm 24.7. think its a good idea? :rainfro: but i dont think that will have good top-end am i right? cause like someone said ( ) low rpms=low topend. so this thing is gonna have what, 30 mph for tops? and this has like 25,000. ok i know im just pissing yall off me mixing everything up like this, but now im looking at a .21 engine with great torque for wheelies and good topend for drag-racing. ive got the .21 conversion i want (racers edge). so now i need input for a .21

Default .

I bought the EPIC .18 engine for my Terra Crusher and the engine KICKS *****!! I have had it for a week know and it is very easy to tune and keep running. It out runs my friends Terra Crusher with a .15 CV-RX engine with no problem, and my other friends Terra Crusher with a Fantom 03 .15 engine. It also keeps up pretty well with my other friend Terra Crusher with an OFAN Hyper .21 engine. The cheapest place to buy it is: https://www.ssl-stormerhobbies.com/c...t.pl?pn=EP1800 or https://www.ssl-stormerhobbies.com/c...t.pl?pn=EP1801 I bought the one with the rotary carb.

ok i think ive given up on the .21 and 24.7 idea. after i get everything (engine, conversion, gears, etc.) the toatl cost will be like $500. too much! so back to this thread. what engine is the best for a stock 2.5 maxx? (i need a direct replacement) and that o.s. .15 hyper has same mounting holes, so im also taking a peek at that, but i have no clue as to what .68 ps is, how many horsies is that?

Hey ken, jus thought id tell you what i decided to do. Since all these .18's run 150-200$ for a good one, i figured i might as well get a big block conversion. I'm going to get the kippster conversion and the Team Orion wasp .26 for massive power and speed. this thing is going to FLY when im done. I'll have both of these in the next month also so its going to be great.

I think .68 is how much hp it puts out. I have the Sirio .18 and it is awsome I have the Sirio big Bore Pipe with it it helps a pretty lot to. It also makes it louder I think. It puts out 1.9 hp and 40,000 rpm's wich is alot. The Phantom will probably put out less hp but more rpm's the Phantom pipe looks like the Sirio one to me. The Orion .18 should be pretty good but I would think the Sirio would be a little better. The Epic .18 I think is just for the old T-maxx but I am pretty sure it puts out 1.8 hp but is the same price as the Sirio. I would get the Sirio .18 because it puts out more hp than alot of big blocks. I heard that Sirio has bad customer service.
