Default What Hi-Torque Steering servo for Emaxx?

Wanting a hi torque steering servo for my Emaxx. Something that will turn tires standing still. I have considered the Hi-Tech 5645 MG digital. Anyone had experence with this one? Is there any other I should consider?

Default Good servo

Yea thats a good servo. That is the one that I run but I think the best is the 5945...it has 180 oz torque and the 5645 has 130oz I think.

I have tried that Servo on my Emaxx. It makes it very sensitive in turns and uses a LOT more battery power!

I would stay w/ the stock one!

Default Batteries

What kind of batteries do you use? The 4 AA's or the rechargable hump pack. If nothing else then get the 945...its not digital.

Well, I'm kinda new here but, I thought this was about EMAXX, aren't AA's used in the reciever pack of Nitro trucks?

That steering servo gets it's power from the main battery's and, I use twin 7 cell's 3300 NIMAH from EBay!!!

I noticed the run time go down about 5 minutes, the HITEC servo asks for inputs 10 times a second (I think). The stock one is 2 times a second.

Default OOps

OOps, sorry. All I run is nitro. Its been a while since I have had a electric. Do the digital servos really kill the big batteries? You can still hook up a 5 cell hump pack.

Default Yep

And it will make your truck run longer because the servo will run off the hump pack. I started to say both servos will run off the hump pack.lol :drowning:

Thanks for all replys. I have thought about runnin a hump pack for the servo. The weight's not a big concern since I don't race it.
